SBI Mutual Fund increases its stake in this agricultural stock. The share increases by 13% in four days


SBI Mutual Fund increased its stake in Hatsun Agro Product Ltd. According to wholesale transaction details available on BSE and NSE, the mutual fund arm of the State Bank of India (SBI) purchased 15,20,000 new shares of the company on the open market. September 6, 2022. The mutual fund company purchased these shares by paying 987.80 each. This means that SBI Mutual Fund has invested 1,50,14,56,000 or around 150 crore in this agro stock. Sundaram Mutual Fund also purchased 12 lakh shares of the company investing around 118 crores in the business.

Impact on Hatsun Agro share price

After the announcement of the purchase of these mutual funds’ stake in Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, the agricultural stock has seen a continued bullish trend. Over the past four days, this share of agro has gone from around 988 levels each for 1117 levels per share, rising nearly 13% in the past four days.

According to information available in the stock exchange filing, SBI Mutual Fund has informed that it has purchased 15.2 lakh of fresh shares of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd and its net stake in the company has now increased to 12,111,562 shares of the company, i.e. 5.6186% of the total paid-up capital of the company. Prior to this purchase on the open market, SBI Mutual Fund held 10,591,562 shares of the company, or 4.9134% of the total paid-in capital of the company. This means that SBI Mutual Fund’s stake in the company increased by 0.70% after these open market purchases.

“We would like to inform you that SBI Mutual Fund, under its various schemes, has acquired 15,20,000 shares of your company resulting from the acquisition of more than 5% of the paid-up share capital of your company. In accordance with Regulation 29 ( 1) of SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares & Takeovers) Regulations, 2011, please find attached the report detailing our holding in your company. of office on September 06, 2022 was 1.21, 11,562 shares, or 5.6186% of the paid-up share capital of your company”, informed the company SBI Mutual Fund, which is available in its exchange file.

Sundaram mutual fund invests 118 crore

Apart from SBI Mutual Fund, Sundaram Mutual Fund also purchased 12 lakh shares of the company by paying 987.80 each to the company. This means that Sundaram Mutual Fund has invested 1,18,53,60,000 or around 118 crores.
