New condos below market price for sale in South Hayward | Town of Hayward

An affordable homeownership opportunity is now open in South Hayward thanks to the builder of 189 new transit-friendly condos and townhomes, including 20 units for sale at below-market rates.

Homes Built for America, the residential construction division of The True Life Companies, presents limited income and below-market (BMR) condos for sale in its new SoMi development under construction on the north side of Mission Boulevard at W. Tennyson Road near South Hayward BART station.

Applications from moderate and lower income buyers are being accepted until August 19 to qualify for the lottery and the chance to purchase one of the first seven BMR units, priced at $447,814 for a two-bedroom condo and $500,923 for three bedrooms. The draw is scheduled to take place on August 25.

In Alameda County, moderate income ranges from a maximum gross income of $119,950 per year for a one-person household to $185,050 per year for a five-person household. Buyers will need to have their own funds to pay a minimum down payment of three percent of the purchase price of the condo.
