What did Michael Chandler say about Dana White?

Host, Patrick Bet-David, welcomed Michael Chandler as a guest on the podcast. Bet-David asked the Missouri born about the difference between Bellator President Scott Coker and UFC President Dana White.

After spending a decade at Bellator, Chandler might be the most appropriate man to shed light on both personalities.

Chandler mentioned this Dana White was on another level when it came to celebrity status. Additionally, he said the UFC kingpin is a huge name and people listen to him when he speaks. The 36-year-old spoke about White only talking about MMA, “Because he’s been doing it for so much longer.”

The No. 5 lightweight fighter then drew a parallel between the two. So he said that Dana White carries a bit more brashness while Scott Coker is more reserved in his nature.

He continued and added that Scott Coker takes Bellator’s growth seriously. But at the same time, not as much as Dana White.

The 23-7 record holder concluded, “I think Dana eats, sleeps and breathes…that’s her identity. It’s his lifestyle. It’s him. The UFC is Dana White, and Dana White is the UFC, and that’s a beautiful thing.

The 53-year-old assumed the role of UFC President with its incorporation in 2001. White’s role proved instrumental in the promotion’s rise as the top promotion in the world which began with a debt. White when revealed this all they inherited from the 2001 deal was the brand name and an old octagon.

Thanks to his efforts, the UFC’s gross income in 2015 was $600 million. Currently, the UFC is worth $9-10 billion, as said Dana White to Aaron Bronsteter.

Recently, he signed a contract extension with the UFC and will continue in the role of president until 2026.
